Akhtar''s remarks on Indian batting icons in bad taste: Malik

"It's never easy for any player to make a comeback after a long time in international cricket. It is difficult to find their rhythm and form again. This is what happened in Zimbabwe and want to justify my first car to be on the team nationally, "said Malik. Malik, who returned to the side to tour Zimbabwe in August after being ignored by the selectors for nearly 12 months, had trouble getting into a day internationals and Twenty20 matches. Malik said he wanted to shed the tag of being limited overs cricket only.
Malik played just 32 tests, but appeared in 195 ODIs and 34 Twenty20 international. "I hate to be labeled because for me Test cricket is very important and remains the real challenge for me. When I returned, I thought of first in the test set and that's what I intend to do in the coming months "he said.Malik said the 12 months has not been considered for the national team had been difficult for him, but his wife, the Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and his family were a source of great support to him.
"It was tough, but they were by my side all the time and he helped me through. Now I'm back I will not be easy, as international cricket is hard, but I developed a desire and hunger for success and I know I can do the same test, "he said.
